Bible coming back

A medieval bible that was given to Gisborough Priory after the devastating fire of 1289 destroyed the priory’s books and other treasures will be displayed in Guisborough later this year as part of the 900th anniversary celebrations.

The bible is being kindly loaned by St John’s College, Cambridge. It will be displayed in Guisborough Library from 26th September to 29th October. Guisborough Library opening hours may be found here.
