The Gisburne Bible left Guisborough Library yesterday and returned to its usual home of St John’s College Library, Cambridge.
After checking the Bible’s condition, it was carefully packed in a special case and secured in the back of Jayhawk’s art transport vehicle for the journey back.
And today the glass case that has displayed the Gisburne Bible for the last five weeks was dismantled and returned to its Hampshire home.
A massive thank you goes to everyone who helped make this display possible and also to all the visitors who came along and made it all worthwhile.
We will be adding newly discovered information about the Gisburne Bible to the website soon – look out for it.
