On Sunday 14 April, Guisborough will be hosting the Klondike bike race. There will be lots of activities around the town centre, including the priory.
In the priory you can work alongside mosaic artists Helen Gaunt and Derek Mosey to help create a special community mosaic to celebrate 900 years of Guisborough Priory (proposed design pictured above). There will also be other children’s art activities on offer and a trail around the priory and gardens for children.
We would like to thank Tees Valley Community Foundation for the grant to pay for some of these activities so that they are free for everyone. Come along any time from 10am to 4pm to join in the fun.
Unfortunately, due to injury and other complications, neither the mountain bike taster sessions nor the soft archery are now able to be there on Sunday. But the art activities are still going ahead and you can explore the priory and enjoy the beauty of the spring gardens too.
