Over 300 visitors came along and enjoyed varied activities. Many people brought picnics and stayed for the whole day. And they came with bears of all shapes and sizes, and other beloved toys. With music from the Cleveland Ukelele Band, the Teddy zip wire and children’s activities and stories, there was a lovely atmosphere. Some children made teddy bear hats for themselves and their teddies while others added pieces to the 900th anniversary mosaic that is being created.
A grand total of £275 was raised on the day. A huge thank you goes to all those people who came and worked so hard during the day and to those who donated plants or baking to our refreshment table. A big thank you too to volunteers from Sainsbury’s who came along to help and also donated baking.
